About Us

Phil's Flying Enterprises, Inc. was founded in 2001 by Phil Polstra. Phil has been flying since 1990. Phil is a Gold Seal Flight Instructor, commercial pilot, A&P mechanic with Inspection Authorization, and plane builder. Phil is highly experienced with the AMD Alarus and has over 1500 hours in this aircraft. Phil's Flying started in the Atlanta, Georgia area, but moved to Dubuque, Iowa in August 2006 when Phil accepted a position as an aviation professor at The University of Dubuque.

Phil is also an accomplished software developer having written applications in languages and on platforms too numerous to list. Phil holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) credential from ISC2 and a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) credential from EC-Council. Today Phil focuses on helping other developers securely develop and deploy software.
